Hades is the king of the underworld and is in charge over funeral rights. He defends the right of a due burial.

Hades was said to have four children. They are Erinys, Zagreus, Melinoe and Makaria. They were said to be monsters, but one might be human.

Erinys, Zagreus and Makaria were monsters. They helped Hades collect bodies and hunt anyone of interest.
Melinoe was the only human. She wanted to live on earth as a regular girl. Nobody knows if she got her wish.

Hades became the ruler of the underworld by a drawing. A person wold pick a card and you got the job of what you picked. Hades got the ruler of the underworld.

Hades is also the god of wealth, he owns anything in the earth. That's gold, iron, rubies and diamonds.

Hades is the god of the underworld and wealth, but not death. That goes to Thanatos, Hades only controls the dead.

Hades' name means "unseen". You won't see him in the underworld or above the earth, because he has a helmet that makes him invisible. Hades can be watching you and you wouldn't even know.

Hades has been known for causing mischief. He messes with people's livestock and makes them run
away from the farmer.
If Hades gets mad he might throw things around. That's why people worship him.
FACT 9
Persephone is the queen of the underworld. You would think she would be sad when she goes to
the underworld with Hades, but the Greeks
thought they had parties, had fun and ate food that wouldn't trap her down there forever.
FACT 10
Hades had two brothers- Poseidon and Zeus. His sisters are Demeter, Hera and Hestia. Hades' Dad was
killed when Zeus freed them from his belly. At the time they didn't know were their mother was.
